Search Engine Optimization (SEO), as applied to vertical-specific content, is very technical in two important ways. First, for the writing to be effective, it must speak to its audience, using terms and expressions associated with that industry and topic. Second, for greater visibility and broader distribution on the internet, SEO keywords serve to rank the website, blog, article, whitepaper, case study, as well as other published content higher up on the Google search engine results page (SERP). This is more than just common indexing.
By publishing content with these two objectives, content is more easily found and recognized, ultimately driving traffic to a client's website, for further customer inquiry. For the online content I produce for my clients, whether it's in the form of original copywriting, line editing, copyediting, or proofreading, these two criteria are critical.
